Bilge Rat (Oil Only) Protect Your Boat from Excess Fuel
Bilge Rats from Enretech are intended to fit inside small and big boat bilges and collect any spilled oil or gasoline. The products float about in the bilge, scavenging any free hydrocarbons.
Bilge Rats will float until they have been saturated with hydrocarbons, at which point they will sink. They must be replaced when their maximum adsorption capacity is depleted. Because the items will be dark in colour due to contamination, the frequency of replacement is decided by visual examinations. Saturated Bilge Rats should be packed in a secure plastic bag and dumped in ordinary rubbish in most states. However, before disposing of any hydrocarbon-containing products, always verify with your marina or local garbage authority.
Bilge Rats and Mini-Booms are absorbent items that enable marinas and associated members to achieve their legal environmental duties.
