Flexco SR Rivet Hinged Fastening System
Quality and Performance In the most demanding material handling applications on earth, the Flexco® SR™ Rivet Hinged Fastening System has established a reputation for quality and performance. Anywhere that belt conveyors are utilized, you need a fastener system that enables quick setup, splicing, and clearance. The performance, longevity, and ease of installation of Flexco SR fasteners increase belt availability and aid in maintaining productivity.
Flexco Rivet Hinged Fasteners combine top and bottom fastener plates that are connected at one end by two large hinge loops for maximum splice life and increased uptime. Each pair of plates acts as a sandwich for the belt end and is riveted to the belt in an uneven manner.
The belt is penetrated by the rivets without the belt carcass being harmed or made weaker, resulting in maximum pull-out resistance and uniformly distributed splice tension over the width of the belt. Flexco SR fasteners are a fantastic option for both new and older, worn-out belts, regardless of the belt’s condition. On belts from 1/8″ to 1″ (3 – 25 mm) after skive with pulley diameters more than 5″, rivet hinged fasteners can be utilized (127 mm). As rivet-hinged fasteners have a long history of use on belts with mechanical fastener ratings of up to 2000 P.I.W. (350 kN/m), there is no need to be concerned about equivalent vulcanized splice strength.

What’s the Process of the Flexco Rivet Hinged Fastening System?
The SRTM (Self-Setting Rivet) Fastener makes use of several rivet attachments in a staggered pattern that travels through the carcass fibres without breaking them. Each pilot nail’s uniquely formed head cooperates with the anvil plate of the installation tool to set the rivets. The fastener plates are compressed into the belt covers during the same hammer blows used to set the rivets. By doing this, the splice strain is distributed uniformly over the breadth of the belt, and maximum holding power is provided.
