Integrated RTK module

The new RTK module is integrated directly into the Phantom 4 RTK, providing real-time positioning data to improve absolute accuracy in image metadata. Just below the RTK receiver is a redundant GNSS module, installed to maintain stability of the I fly in regions with little signal, such as dense cities.
By combining GNSS and RTK modules, the Phantom 4 RTK can optimize flight safety while ensuring the most accurate data is captured for complex survey, mapping and inspection workflows.

Kinematic data in real time

Real-Time Kinematic or RTK is an advanced satellite positioning system that uses a ground station as a secondary positional reference to provide centimeter-accurate data.
Combine and contrast the position data captured from the virtual and physical base station, the Phantom 4 RTK camera georeferenced the precision data to the centimeter level in the image.
Radial and tangential lens distortions were quantized so that each Phantom 4 RTK camera has unique distortion parameters and collects these distortion parameters in the image for post-process calibration.

Positioning system with centimeter precision

  • The integrated RTK module offers accurate centimeter-level data without requiring ground control points due to its new RTK (Real Time Kinematics) system.
  • Phantom 4 RTK can store satellite observation data for post-process PPK (Post-Process Kinematic) position.
  • Compatible with D-RTK 2 Mobile Station, NTRIP (Network Transport of RTCMv3 over Internet Protocol), and custom RTK stations.
